Starry Spangled Banner Wall Hanging {Free Crochet Pattern}

Happy Monday Y’all!!! Just so you know, I get inspired to create during every pre-holiday rush. I decided that I would create decor — instead of buy things — a few years ago. Even before I knew what to do with hook and yarn. Do y’all like to DIY your Holiday Decor also?

It’s so satisfying looking around the house seeing all of your own creations!

PIN IT!

It’s so fun too, when a guest notices said decor and asks where you’ve purchased it  — oh you know, because they need it in their life — like YESTERDAY! ((( Insert  proud grin here! )))

I love the wall hangings that I’m seeing all over social media and ESTY lately. And, while I haven’t hopped on the weaving train just yet, I decided to crochet my wall hanging for Memorial Day instead. I have a little idea to keep it up until after Independence Day too, just because I love it so much!!!

Tassels – oh the TASSELS!

I really hope y’all like it and want to add it to your holiday decor too!!!

And – TASSELS!!! I can’t EVEN get enough of the tassels!!!

:::NOTE:::   I’m not a professional pattern writer, I know these instructions make sense to me – but I can’t promise they will all make sense to you. Therefore – If you have any questions, find something that I could word differently, or you have NO idea what I’m trying to explain – please let me know! Thank you!!! Afterall, I’m sharing this patter for YOU!!! HUGS!!!

Oh, yeah — Don’t forget to ADD this to your RAVELRY QUEUE & FAVORITES!

Join Banners in Red, White, Blue order.

Crochet Stars (4 White SC Stars, 2 Blue HDC Stars, and 2 Red HDC Stars with H hook) Attach & stitch on STARS where you think they look best. Of course, you can make as many or as few as you’d like – and attach them where you’d like also!

I used the Red White and Blue yarns to make tassels, and attached them to the points of all 3 Banners.

I sewed each banner on the dowel using the yarn needle by stringing a coordinating strand of yarn through each stitch at the top of the banner and looping around the wooden dowel.

Attach a hanging thread of yarn on each side of dowel, and HANG!!! SMILES!!!
